Being a work-at-home mom is a lot of work, and you need fuel to do that. But finding healthy foods that actually feed your body while also being healthy and good for you can be tough. I’ve found a recipe that I love! And the even better news is, my one-year-old loves it too.

You’ll get healthy fiber, whole grains, vitamin C and more! Check out the recipe for more information.

Follow the instructions on the oatmeal as far as your oatmeal to fluid ratio. The instructions below are for 1/2 cup of oatmeal.

1/2 cup of oatmeal

1/2 cup of unsweetened applesauce

1/2 cup of water

I then stir the oatmeal and heat it for a minute and a half in the microwave. I then let it cool for a couple of minutes before feeding it to my son.

The key in the recipe is the unsweetened oatmeal because this gives the oatmeal just enough natural sweetness that you’ll be able to enjoy it.
